बिदर में एक मानसिक रोगी द्वारा चिकित्सीय लापरवाही का आरोप
कमलनगर / बिदर:
कमलनगर निवासी श्री गणेश कनाडे ने बिदर में प्रैक्टिस कर रही एक मनोचिकित्सक डॉक्टर के खिलाफ चिकित्सीय लापरवाही का आरोप लगाते हुए शिकायत दर्ज कराई है।
श्री कनाडे के अनुसार, कई वर्ष पहले उन्हें एंग्जायटी और पैनिक अटैक की समस्या हुई थी, जिसके उपचार के लिए उन्होंने माइंड केयर हॉस्पिटल, बिदर का रुख किया। उपचार के दौरान उनकी मुलाकात डॉ. श्वेता कुन्निकेरी से हुई, जो कथित रूप से सरकारी अस्पताल बिदर में भी सेवाएं दे रही हैं।
श्री कनाडे का कहना है कि शुरुआत में उन्हें उचित परामर्श और उपचार मिला। लेकिन समय के साथ उन्हें दी जाने वाली दवाओं से गंभीर साइड इफेक्ट्स होने लगे। उनका कहना है कि बाद में डॉक्टर ने एक अन्य निजी अस्पताल उटागे हॉस्पिटल में भी प्रैक्टिस शुरू की, जहां उन्होंने अपना इलाज जारी रखा।
शिकायतकर्ता के अनुसार, वे लगभग पांच वर्षों तक हर महीने एक बार नियमित रूप से अस्पताल जाते रहे और इस दौरान उन्होंने इलाज और दवाइयों पर लगभग ₹4 से ₹5 लाख तक खर्च किए।
श्री कनाडे का आरोप है कि इलाज के दौरान उन्हें दी गई दवाओं के सेवन के बाद कई गंभीर दुष्प्रभाव महसूस हुए। उनके अनुसार इनमें शामिल हैं:
• व्यवहार में अचानक बदलाव
• बच्चे जैसी बोलने और सोचने की स्थिति
• अस्थायी लकवे जैसे लक्षण
• मानसिक भ्रम
• चलने में कठिनाई
• चेहरे के भावों में बदलाव
• दूर की आवाजें असामान्य रूप से सुनाई देना
• अत्यधिक संदेह और बेचैनी
• काम पर ध्यान केंद्रित करने में कठिनाई
श्री कनाडे का कहना है कि शुरुआत में उन्हें लगा कि ये सभी समस्याएं उनकी बीमारी का हिस्सा हैं। लेकिन बाद में जब उन्होंने उस अस्पताल में उपचार बंद कर दिया और अन्य जगह पर परामर्श लिया, तब उन्हें एहसास हुआ कि इन समस्याओं का संबंध दी गई दवाओं से हो सकता है।
उन्होंने यह भी बताया कि अस्पताल में इलाज बंद करने के बाद वे दोबारा काम करने में सक्षम हुए और दो वर्षों तक नौकरी भी की, जिसमें उन्हें प्रमोशन भी मिला।
श्री कनाडे ने चिकित्सीय लापरवाही का आरोप लगाते हुए संबंधित अधिकारियों से मामले की विस्तृत जांच कराने की मांग की है। उनकी प्रमुख मांगें इस प्रकार हैं:
• उपचार प्रक्रिया की निष्पक्ष चिकित्सा जांच
• दी गई दवाओं की जांच
• इलाज पर खर्च हुई राशि की वापसी
• यदि लापरवाही साबित होती है तो उचित कार्रवाई
श्री कनाडे ने बताया कि इस संबंध में उन्होंने पहले ही जिला स्वास्थ्य कार्यालय, बिदर तथा ड्रग्स कंट्रोलर विभाग में शिकायत दर्ज कराई है और वर्तमान में जांच के परिणाम की प्रतीक्षा कर रहे हैं।
उन्होंने संबंधित अधिकारियों से निष्पक्ष जांच सुनिश्चित करने की अपील की है, ताकि न्याय मिल सके और मरीजों की सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित की जा सके।

Allegation of Medical Negligence by Psychiatric Patient in Bidar
Kamalnagar / Bidar:
Mr. Ganesh Kanade, a resident of Kamalnagar, has submitted a complaint alleging medical negligence against a psychiatrist practicing in Bidar.
According to Mr. Kanade, he had been suffering from anxiety and panic attacks several years ago and visited Mind Care Hospital for treatment. During his treatment, he consulted Dr. Shwetha Kunnikeri, who is also reportedly serving as a doctor in Government Hospital Bidar.
Mr. Kanade states that initially he received proper consultation and treatment. However, he claims that over time the medicines prescribed began causing severe side effects. He further states that the doctor later started practicing at another private facility named Utage Hospital, where he continued his treatment.
According to the complainant, he visited the hospital regularly for nearly five years, usually once every month, and claims that he spent approximately ₹4–5 lakh on treatment and medicines.
Mr. Kanade alleges that during the course of treatment he experienced several serious side effects after taking the prescribed medicines. He claims that these included:
Sudden behavioral changes
Child-like speech and thinking
Temporary paralysis-like symptoms
Mental confusion
Difficulty walking
Changes in facial expressions
Hearing distant sounds unusually
Excessive doubts and restlessness
Difficulty concentrating and working
Mr. Kanade says that he initially believed these symptoms were part of his illness. However, after discontinuing treatment at the hospital and consulting elsewhere, he claims he realized that many of these issues may have been related to the medicines prescribed.
He also states that after stopping treatment at the hospital, he was able to work again and completed two years of employment, during which he even received a promotion.
Mr. Kanade has alleged medical negligence and has requested authorities to conduct a detailed investigation into the doctor’s treatment practices and pharmacy operations. He has demanded:
A proper medical inquiry
Investigation into the medicines prescribed
Refund of treatment expenses
Appropriate action if negligence is proven
Mr. Kanade stated that he has already submitted complaints to the District Health Office Bidar and the Drugs Controller Department, and he is currently awaiting the outcome of the investigation.
He has appealed to the concerned authorities to ensure a fair inquiry so that justice can be delivered and patient safety can be ensured.
